Explore Explosive Science and Tech at the Eden Project this February Half Term

February half term is just around the corner, and there's no better place to spend it than at the Eden Project. From February 10th - 18th, the Eden Project is hosting a week of explosive science experiments and technology, joined by the Ministry of Science and Kids Invent Stuff. With free entry for kids, it's an event not to be missed!

Headlining the event is the Ministry of Science, who will be performing live shows at Eden's beautiful Mediterranean Biome. Get ready to be amazed as they showcase mind-boggling experiments and bring science to life before your eyes. But the fun doesn't stop there - kids can also get hands-on and create their own science experiments in interactive workshops led by the Ministry of Science.

If wacky creations are more your style, then you won't want to miss Kids Invent Stuff. They will be presenting their latest inventions, including a slime-launching robot and much more. To make things even more exciting, Kids Invent Stuff is on the hunt for their 100th invention, and they want your ideas! Visit the Idea Station at the event and share your creative and innovative thoughts.

The Discovery Zone in the Dome Tent is a must-visit for all science enthusiasts. Here, you can drop in and explore a range of experiments and demonstrations. Learn about sustainable ways of making, eating, and traveling through interactive activities. How about testing the laws of physics or trying out some unique insect-based foods? It's all part of the Discovery Zone experience at the Eden Project.

Tamsyn Lewis, Eden's Living Theatre Production Manager, is incredibly excited about the upcoming week of science and creativity. She hopes that the extended free entry for children under 16 will encourage more families to attend and spark a lifelong curiosity in science.

Don't forget to lace up your skates and head over to the Ice Rink at the Eden Project. It's your last chance to glide across the ice this season, so book your sessions online now. There are family-friendly and toddler sessions available, as well as lessons for those looking to improve their skills on the ice.

For those who prefer a more relaxed environment, the Ministry of Science Workshop Sessions on Tuesday 13th and Saturday 17th at 10:30 am and 2:00 pm are perfect. These sessions are designed for individuals who benefit from a less crowded space, including those with autism, sensory, or communication needs. Tickets for these workshops can be pre-booked online for a small fee of £1.

So, if you're looking for an exciting and educational way to spend February half term, make your way to the Eden Project. With explosive science, wacky inventions, and interactive workshops, it's an event that will entertain and inspire kids and adults alike. Visit www.edenproject.com for more information and to book your tickets today!
