Ghostface is Back in the Scream 6 Teaser Trailer!

Scream fans rejoice - the highly anticipated teaser trailer for Scream 6 has finally been released! It’s been almost twenty-five years since the first installment of the franchise, and it looks like Ghostface isn't going anywhere.

The trailer follows Sam and Tara Carpenter (played by Melissa Barrera and Jenna Ortega) as they attempt to leave Woodsboro behind them and start a new life in New York City. However, it soon becomes apparent that wherever they go, Ghostface follows. Teasing a Halloween setting for the movie, the trailer's subway scene features multiple Ghostfaces in more than one shot, pure coincidence? Or will we see the return of two villains in this next Scream installment?

Scream 6 also sees the return of Courteney Cox as Gale Weathers and Hayden Panettiere reprising her Scream 4 role of Kirby Reed. While Neve Campbell sadly won’t be returning for this film, Jenna Ortega has confirmed that there will still be “references” to Sidney Prescott throughout the movie.

Ortega said, "There's references to Sidney, of course. You know, it's nice because there's still a protectiveness in the script and that's something that the actors had naturally over her because obviously we respect her and we want the best for her. She's missed and thought of."

The cast also includes Dermot Mulroney, Henry Czerny, Samara Weaving, Tony Revolori, Jack Champion and sees the return of Jasmin Savoy Brown and Mason Gooding reprising their roles of Mindy and Chad Meeks-Martin.

Are you ready to face the fear? Scream 6 is set to premiere in cinemas on 10th March 2023. Judging by the teaser, it's sure to be an exhilarating ride!
