Jumanji: Chessington World of Adventures Set to 'Welcome You to the Jungle' This Spring

Chessington World of Adventures Resort, the UK's most thrilling theme park, is preparing to take its visitors to the wildest adventure yet with the opening of World of Jumanji this spring. The world's first Jumanji-themed land will include the world's only Jumanji rollercoaster, Mandrill Mayhem, along with two further rides and plenty of themed food, drink and merchandise.

Mandrill Mayhem, the world's only Jumanji rollercoaster, will sweep up riders in the long arms of a mandrill and take them on an unpredictable journey through the sites of Jumanji, while dodging the hazards of the jungle. The 55ft tall Jaguar Shrine will be the highest point of the ride, giving riders a glimpse of the glowing Jaguar's Eye Jewel before they plunge back down to earth. Mandrill Mayhem is a winged, launch, shuttle ride with an inversion - a first for Chessington, which last introduced a rollercoaster back in 2004.

Families will also have the chance to dodge the fangs of the black mamba on a dizzying ride in the bazaar on Mamba Strike and swerve a herd of stampeding ostriches on a whirlwind ride in the dunes on Ostrich Stampede.

There will also be a maze of pathways based on the iconic Jumanji board game, as well as six new Jumanji themed bedrooms at the Chessington Safari Hotel.
