Pokémon TCG Unveils Scarlet & Violet Expansion

The Pokémon Trading Card Game is about to get a whole lot more exciting! On March 31, 2023, the Scarlet & Violet expansion will be released worldwide, and it's sure to be a hit.

This new expansion introduces an updated version of Pokémon ex, with powerful attacks and Abilities that come with high HP. These Pokémon ex can be Basic, Stage 1, or Stage 2, and when they are Knocked Out, they give up two Prize cards.

The real highlight of the expansion is the Tera Pokémon ex, with unique etched artwork that spotlights their Tera Types. Not only are they powerful, but they also take no damage from attacks when they're on the Bench.

Players will also love the full-art etched cards, which feature Pokémon in simple poses and bright colors. There are also illustration rare and special illustration rare Pokémon, which show an entire Evolution line growing together.

The expansion includes 12 double rare Pokémon ex, 12 ultra rare Pokémon ex and 8 ultra rare Supporter cards, 24 illustration rare Pokémon, 10 special illustration rare Pokémon and Supporter cards, and 6 hyper rare gold etched cards.

You can get your hands on the Scarlet & Violet expansion at Pokémon Center in the US, Canada, and the UK, or at other participating retailers worldwide. Pre-order products are already available at Pokémon Center, including the Scarlet & Violet Pokémon Center Elite Trainer Box, which includes two additional booster packs and two copies of a full-art promo card.
