Sophie Ellis-Bextor Joins Toikido's PeaKeeBoo as Narrator: A Magical Adventure for Young Children

Toikido, the renowned children's entertainment company, has announced an exciting collaboration for its new pre-school IP, PeaKeeBoo. The talented Sophie Ellis-Bextor, widely known for her chart-topping hits like 'Groovejet (If This Ain't Love),' will bring her enchanting voice as the narrator of the animated series.

PeaKeeBoo, developed in partnership with Moonbug Entertainment, immerses young children aged four and under in the captivating world of Flower Meadow Wood. The heartwarming story revolves around the lovable characters Pea, Kee, and Boo.

The news of Sophie Ellis-Bextor's participation in PeaKeeBoo coincides with the resurgence of her hit song 'Murder on the Dancefloor.' The iconic tune, featured in the movie Saltburn, has skyrocketed to No. 2 on the UK Top 40, a remarkable achievement 22 years after its original release.

When asked about her involvement in the series, Sophie expressed her excitement, saying, "I'm delighted to be a part of Toikido's latest IP, the warm, enchanting world of PeaKeeBoo. As a mother of five, I know its themes of nature, play, and friendship will truly resonate with young, inquisitive children and their parents, who will be watching them take their first exploratory steps into the world. The series will be filled with colour, sound and kindness, so naturally I'm thrilled to be providing my voice to it. I look forward to everyone joining me, Pea, Kee, and Boo deep among the trees of the Flower Meadow Woods."

The highly anticipated animated series is scheduled to launch on YouTube later this year, promising to captivate young audiences with its imaginative storyline. Toikido also has plans for a video game adaptation for iOS and Android, along with a collection of plush toys, clothing, and books inspired by the PeaKeeBoo universe.

PeaKeeBoo aims to follow in the footsteps of Toikido's successful Piñata Smashlings, utilising a comprehensive 360 marketing strategy. The PeaKeeBoo franchise will encompass toys, playsets, games, apparel, and books, ensuring fans can fully immerse themselves in the magical world of Pea, Kee, Boo, and their adventures.

Darran Garnham, the visionary founder and CEO of Toikido, expressed his excitement about Sophie Ellis-Bextor's involvement, stating, "In Sophie, we have found the perfect voice to help sprinkle some extra magic and bring the wonderful adventures of Pea, Kee, Boo, and all their friends to life. We can't wait for children and parents to experience the enchantment when the new series is released later in 2024."
